UTV Rental Guidelines

Please read the following items before continuing to book your UTV!

To give every rider a great experience, we’ve established clear UTV rental guidelines that ensure safety, responsibility, and smooth operation. Before renting, please review the following policies so you can enjoy your adventure with confidence.

Driver Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License: All drivers must present a current, valid driver’s license at the time of rental.

  • Minimum Age: Drivers must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Additional Drivers: All drivers must be listed on the rental agreement and meet the same requirements.


An OHV decal is required by law (Chapter 29 of the Parks & Wildlife Code) for all individuals operating an OHV in Texas at an OHV legal venue, which is located on the public lands of Texas, or on lands which have received OHV grants from the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department.  Please review the Ride Texas section of this webpage for a list of the OHV legal venues which are located on the public lands of Texas.

Operating Rules

  • Operation Instructions: Follow the operator’s manual (located in the glove box) and all warning labels.
  • Respect the Equipment: Avoid reckless operation, jumps, excessive skidding, or behavior that could cause damage.
  • No Alcohol or Drugs: Operation of a UTV under the influence is strictly prohibited.
  • Seatbelts: All riders must be properly strapped in before operating the UTV.
  • Follow Posted Speed Limits: Speed limits are enforced to ensure rider safety and protect the riding environment.

Deposit, Damage & Responsibility

  • Security Deposit: A $500 deposit is required at the time of signing paperwork. This deposit will be held until the UTV is returned in its original condition without damage.
  • Responsibility for Damages: The renter is fully responsible for any and all damages to the UTV, other vehicles, or property. All repair or replacement costs are 100% at the renter’s expense.
  • Exceeding Deposit Amount: If damages exceed the $500 deposit, the renter agrees to pay the remaining balance in full or establish a payment arrangement within 30 days of notification.
  • Report any damage: Immediately report to Tow-n-Go UTV Rentals at 936‑647‑1414.

Prohibited

  • Mud Pits & Swamp Bogging: Riding through mud pits or swamp bogging is strictly prohibited.
  • Extreme Off‑Roading: Only gravel and dirt roads are permitted. Extreme off‑road maneuvers are not allowed.
  • Revving / Spinning Tires: Excessive engine revving, tire spinning, and speeding are not permitted under any circumstances.
  • Alcohol & Drug Use: Operating a UTV under the influence of alcohol or drugs is absolutely prohibited.

Before setting out on your outdoor adventure, it’s essential to understand and follow local ordinances and laws governing off‑road vehicle use. These rules are designed to protect both riders and the environment. By respecting them, you not only safeguard your own safety but also contribute to the responsible stewardship of our natural landscapes. Every trail, forest road, and designated riding area exists to be enjoyed responsibly—ensuring they remain open and preserved for future generations.

Do I need my drivers license?

Yes, you must be 21 years or older to operate a vehicle.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept Cash or any major credit cards.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes, all security deposits must be paid by credit card only. No Debit Cards!

How fast do your vehicles go?

Typically our vehicles go around 40 mph but can be faster.

Can the UTV be used for mudding?

UTVs Are Not to be driven through Mud Pits or extreme off-roading!

Is there a cleaning fee?

If UTVs are returned dirty or muddy from obvious signs of Mudding, there will be a clean-up fee of $250.

We ONLY accept major credit card. Debit cards and cash are NOT accepted for the security deposit.
